A peek inside Tension Brand’s original ascension.

When you walk in
you’ll become part of a world that refuses to be understood. A fusion of alternate reality game (ARG), playable theater, and existential psycho-drama.

The initial 400+ page script brought players into…

the O.O.A. institute. A cult headquarters in a 45,000 foot headquarters. It is not an extreme, high touch type, horror experience. It is designed to be psychologically trying rather than physically grueling.


The Tension Experience is working through several versions. The original has expanded to include: Ascension, Lust, Adrenaline, and Nefarious. All tackling different dimensions of the human psyche and defying explanation.

Before its launch, outside observers could not tell whether they were an ARG, or an actual cult. On certain occasions, players who were involved in the pre launch pop-up experiences became convinced that game was a front being used by cultists to induct members. Truly, even with a firm grasp on reality, the experience feels real.

Reports from the front lines of Immersion Nation are saying that something is coming… After the completion of Tension’s Theatre Macabre in 2018, all was quiet until March, 20th; an image of a house fly was posted on the associated social. The community of fans that has come to adore Tension’s creations are getting ready for the next event.

The tension experience comes with a message. They encourage the participants to push their own boundaries, to push out of their comfort zone, and to remember the importance of being present. Being truly present is said to be the only way to unlock the entire experience.
