What is Evermore?
A portal has opened: About 30 minutes outside of Salt Lake City, Utah… Step through and you’ll find dwarves, goblins, quests, and so much more. Evermore park is a unique intersection of theater and fantasy RPG. Here you have the opportunity to assume the role of your favorite fantasy hero and adventure through a mystical land. Gamble with an executioner, have your fortune told, or follow the quests given by the characters within; This is your chance to live within your favorite fantasy movie or game.
What it’s really like
As you walk in, The tavern is a short walk away. You’ll likely be prompted to start your adventure there. The words “Go speak to the executioner” will find their way to curious ears. From there, you’ll hunt for quests -seeking out various characters in the park.
Quests can be anything from a search for something in the crypts under the mausoleum, to a test of skill in the archery range.
An authentic gothic-era european village is the core of this world. Light design, custom sculptures, and elaborate garden design add a surreal texture to the landscape. Created by world class artists and designers, Evermore Park reads more like an artist’s collaborative haven than a corporate Theme Park.
You are just as welcome to free roam. Exploring the hidden gems of interaction. Every character within Evermore park has a backstory, a personality, and an attitude. Professional improv actors are rarely put to use this well. But you have to be willing to play.
Don’t arrive expecting to be carried along without engaging. You get out what you put in. Reports from the Immersion Nation front say that this experience could take a little adjustment for someone who is new to playing a roll within a story.
In the tavern, you can get ahold of finger food, and of course, lovely beverages. But, as of Evermore’s 2018 opening, there isn’t a place to sit down for a full meal. Given that the park is still under construction. Word is that food options will be expanding soon.
Though this is certainly a family friendly spot. It’s not designed for children exclusively. Many of the park’s most engaging features only come out after dark.
